What is Monologue Monday?

AfterWords Actors Studio's main goal is to help actors improve; to become the best actor they can be.  Training, workshops, play readings, auditing classes, attending plays, listening to various instructors are just a few things that the folks at AWAS recommend.  And not just classes at OUR Studio - but CLASSES!  Wherever you can get them!!

​

But let's face it, sometimes education is expensive....so the drive into the City may not be an option for you.  We get it.  We NEVER want that fire in your belly to be extinguished because a Studio or instructor's cost is out-of-your reach.

​

Thus, the idea for MONOLOGUE MONDAY was suggested - and we thought it was a FANTASTIC suggestion!  

​

AfterWords Actors Studio will be open (at Between the Lines Studio Theatre) on Monday evening from 7:00 to....who knows, to allow you to drop in and get feedback, to work on a monologue, to get ideas for a monologue, to just sit and listen...whatever you need!!  We have professionally trained instructors that are not only here to work with you, but REALLY want you to be the absolute best you can be.  When you walk into that Audition Room, we want you to be your best (and be assured that we are cheering for you).

And what's more.....this evening is yours.  We are only asking a "pay what you will", at the door.  If that's not possible, please don't keep walking...stop in anyway!!  If you can't swing it financially, all we're going to ask of you, is that you pay it forward.  Share your gift with others.  Be kind.  Be generous.  Be your best!
